Night Clubs
Glasgow plays host to a fantastic range of nightclubs within the city centre, the West End and surrounding areas. From student venues to 70's themed clubs, Glasgow provides it all, and in abundance.

A range of musical genres are apparent in the city, as clubs tend to have multiple floors to satisfy the diverse and ever changing taste of the clubber.

With R 'n' B and Hip hop fast becoming the city's most popular genres, most large and popular city centre clubs accommodated a specifically hip hop room, consistently hiring radio personalities within the Genre to DJ. Such clubs as Blanket, Cube and The Tunnel, are popular hip hop venues, although G2 of the Garage nightclub (the bottom floor, accessible through separate entrance) and certain nights at the Art School provide an impressive play list for the hip hop enthusiast.

Home to in access of 168,000 students, Glasgow's nightlife scene more than accommodates for them. Clubs like Campus, provide a mix of popular music, where the student Haven known as the Garage provides technically 4 floors of music, Hip hop, Karaoke, Cheesy Pop/popular chart music (very popular with students and young people) and rock 'n' roll and indie in 'The Attic'.

Glasgow is also home 4 major university unions including the largest student union in the UK, the massive Strathclyde Union, providing fantastic day long drinks promotions, live gigs and themed nights (School Disco, Beach Party and Emergency Services are popular nights amongst most city centre clubs).

For those past their 20's and desire to be amongst more of their own age group, Glasgow features a large selection of nightclubs. Glasgow also has a very lively gay community favourites include such clubs as The Polo Lounge and Delmonicas in the Mercahnt City area, however many clubs in the city tend to have their own 'gay night' each week.
